Can beauty be defined

Can beauty be defined by mere appearance?
Is it not in simplicity of nature,
Kindness in heart and
A pure soul?

Is beauty only of complexion and vanity?
Soulful eyes,
Genuine smile
Are they not more attractive?

Why is beauty calculated on a weighing scale?
Is not being healthy
And flaunting curves
Much more real?

So much stigma,
So much hype,
Isn't beauty getting hidden these days
Behind cosmetic sham???
