 Behind the claustrophobic walls

That were meant to submerge her, 

Make her choiceless

To a point of insignificance..

Walls of gender inequality, 

Walls of chauvistic traditions, 

Walls of domestic violence, 

Walls of abuse of body and mind.. 

She cried, she suffered.. 

She spoke, she screamed.. 

She struggled, she fought.. 

She broke free and finally conquered.. 

Now the walls are to protect her, 

Her voice reaches outside, 

She is no more choiceless or insignicant...
